Caban Y Cwm Cafe, Cwm Y Glo

The village of Cwm Y Glo was buzzing with local walking groups coming together for an exciting history and discovery walk of Cwm Y Glo.



The walking group were co-ordinated by Caroline Moncrieff (Let's Walk Gwynedd) seen on the right hand side below:

 

and Gareth Roberts (below) who has designed Menter Fachwen's walking map around Cwm Y Glo/Brynrefail/Fachwen/Llanberis; as well as other local maps.



The event started with a brief introduction to the local history and presentation of old photographs of local villages, local steam railways.

 

  

It also gave the opportunity for people to bring, copy and share their old photographs for others.

 

The leisurely walk was enjoyed by all and for many it brought back many memories of when they were younger, remembering the old buildings, trains etc whilst also learning about local history and facts.
